When Phill is off of work, usually at 3p on Friday, it seems our life of luxury begins. We stay up later, play longer, eat more and just generally have a better, more restful attitude about life. There's something about knowing the next 63 hours are all ours.
We have really loved the transition of having daddy home to work out of an office here at the house. He gets to sleep in a bit longer, saves on gas, takes a nice 10 o'clock and 3 o'clock break with us and we all get to enjoy lunch together. It really couldn't be going better.
But there is a bit of a challenge when it comes to keeping it quiet. It's never been an issue b/c when Phill gets a call we all press mute and I grab the baby and run back to her room. I'm curious to see how it will go as Edith gets older and knows where daddy is and wants to see him and just generally gets loud.
I'll probably take the kids to the library more...and not during her naps which is what we do now.
On Sundays we are usually rushing around trying to get ready to make it to our church's first service. Phill thought it started 45 minutes earlier than it does and we were all out the door with about 45 minutes to spare.
|We found a sweet little place across from the library to snap some pics.|
We're trying to make as many memories as we can with the kids. Most are small memories like sniffing honeysuckles every chance we get and some are monumental. Homeschool is definitely a big one.
On days like today, while it forces most inside and causes a lot to sing it away, we wake with smiles and say let it rain!
